In Love and Sorrow

Two couples generations apart face change in the shadow gigantic steel mill in the west of the Netherlands. It is the nucleus of a nationwide discussion on how to reconcile a past and its traditions with a future in which it might no longer have a place. Set against the very face of societal change, the couples reflect and contemplate on the meaning of love and family, to explore what has been and what might come again.
